Syncopated Painter, a local producer from my DELCO past, reached out during the cockroach exodus to produce beats.
Those beats turned into a full length EP, showcasing hip hop influences in the spirit of Lord Finesse, The Alchemist, and Flying Lotus, while oozing bass textures similar to EPROM, Little Snake, and Bleep Bloop.
The self titled project, BADPainter, showcases five experimental beats and bass anthems, verging into IDM and post-genre territory with glitched percussion, reverberated neuro basses, and chopped soulful selections.
Experimental. Trippy. Unexpected.
A leap of faith for both of us, having little recent experience working with artists. Landing on both feet, the project highlights the upcoming talents of BADBOOB and Syncopated Painter, together as BADPainter.
